Rafting the Roaring Fork

Our neighborhood has the Roaring Fork River right in our backyard. There are some areas to  put your raft or kayak in and float down on a hot summer day. Private guiding is also available!

Biking the Rio Grande Trail

The Rio Grande Trail has 42 multi-use miles from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. It is a Rails to Trails project that is a paved path and follows the Roaring Fork River and ideal for all skill levels

Our Local Hot Springs

Glenwood Springs has the historic famous largest hot springs in the world. Also in 2015, Iron Mountain Hot Springs opened nearby featuring 17 soaking pools and a family pool.

Music in the Valley

The valley offers many music events, from the Glenwood Springs Summer of Music, Snomass Free Summer concerts, concerts in Redstone, Aspen Jazz Snowmass and special local talent.

Sunlight Mountain Ski Area

Sunlight Ski area is only a short drive away up County Road 117.  With 72 trails of Nordic skiing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing close by.  Also, summer offers hiking and biking.

Local Farmer's Markets

Glenwood hosts a Farmer's Market to buy local produce, find artisan products and listen to music from mid June to mid September (4 to 8). Try Aspen and Carbondale's Markets too.

Fly Fishing in the Area

The Roaring Fork River flows from Aspen to Glenwood Springs known for its large Rainbow and Brown Trout. We also have the Frying Pan and the Crystal River close by with great fishing!

Local Rodeos

We are so fortunate to have two weekly rodeo events during the summer here in the valley for all ages to enjoy! Check out the Carbondale Wild West Rodeo and the Snowmass Rodeo.
